  • Our little girl with a pink umbrella and her loyal friend by her side...
  • One of the usual morning walks...
  • We wish you all Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
  • Holidays as they should be, full of fun, exploring and adventure. Hugged by trees and kissed by fresh air :)
  • Slovakia, a place we call our second home...
  • Bratislava, a shiny diamond on the Danube river...
  • Farming on Maltese archipelago does not come easy and won't make anyone rich. Lack of water and barren land are difficult challenges that locals trying to produce crop have to face.
  • Sunset is such a magical time of the day...
  • My heart skipped a beat when I saw this traditional Maltese boat Luzzu in Xlendi bay (Gozo). Protected from the punishing sun, hidden in the little cave as if smiling, waited patiently for her next trip on the Mediterranean sea.
  • Taking it easy...on Gozo :). We never travelled so much by boat as we do now :). #livingonisland
  • Hidden away from the crowds a little bay on Gozo island is offering an idyllic spot for swimming and diving. We've discovered this beach on our walks and now we keep coming back. It is one of the places you won't find in any comercial guides so it's a great place to find when looking for peace and quiet.
  • The Comino Blue Lagoon, the best time to visit is when everybody is gone... no boats, no food trucks, no people... The Blue Lagoon is a beautiful place to visit if you manage to find it empty...
  • Valletta has so many hidden gems. Anytime we visit this capital city, we always find something new and interesting. Like these little huts on the side of the canal or cave-like spaces in the thick defence walls, some still used by locals.
  • Let the kids be kids...
  • Fort St. Elmo Lighthouse in Valletta at sunset
  • Hiking adventure to Qarraba bay, one of the secluded beaches on Malta, proved to be very successful especially. Children loved jumping and climbing across rocky terrain. At one point, we even had to bum slide to the beach.
  • To the best daddy in the world:

Happy Father's day!!! XOXO
Hugo & Zara & Lola
  • Last year at this time of year we lived in Spain. Our lifestyle has changed enormously since we moved to Malta.
What do we miss the most? Probably the outdoor space and kilometres long sandy beaches.
  • From all the towns we've visited in Malta, Birgu has the most beautiful streets from them all.

Narrow winding one-way roads framed with limestone buildings full of character, some decorated with flowers others with flags.

Not once did I trip over my own feet while not looking where I was going while admiring the old architecture and trying to peek inside some of them through the open doors or windows.
  • Not material and breakable things we invest in but adventure, experience and unforgettable memories.
